ALLEGED HUMAN TRAFFICKER SEIZED.

A combined team of Immigration and Police Officers in Isoka has apprehended three Zambians, among them a suspected trafficker King Siwaki  also known as Teza aged 25 of Katozi Village, Nakonde.

Immigration Officers whilst manning the Mwaiseni Check Point in Isoka on 27th January 2023, discovered two undocumented Somalis hidden in the bed apartment of a white Shackman truck and trailer.

Immigration Public Relations Officer Namati Nshinka said upon interviewing the driver of the truck Mwansa Mulenga (36) of Kapiri Mposhi, it was established that he had been hired by King Siwaki to transport the Somalis to Lusaka.

“It was further discovered that Siwaki had in his custody in Nakonde four undocumented Ethiopians,” he said.

Mr. Nshinka also revealed that, the Kasama Regional Immigration Office on 30th January, 2023 apprehended nine Burundian nationals for unlawful entry after a routine immigration status verification exercise was conducted on all passengers.
