The Non-governmental Gender Organizations’ Coordinating Council (NGOCC) has condemned the alleged rape of the Lusaka woman by the Pastor.
According to media reports, this was after the 26-year-old victim approached a said man of God for prayers following her miscarriages.
NGOCC Chair Person Grace M. Sinkamba said rape is not only a violation of human rights, but it is also the worst form of torture.
Ms. Sinkamba urged the Government to take keen interest in the operations of some of these churches as they are clearly operating outside the law. Further calling upon the Ministry of Home Affairs to undertake a thorough investigation in the matter.
