The Bus and Taxi Drivers Association of Zambia Secretary General Sydney Mbewe has condemned the pronouncements by Mr. Mwaliteta to set up structures in markets and bus stations for the UPND members, stating that the call is misplaced and sends wrong signals to the many unemployed youths who are now waiting for empowerment from the government.
Mr.Mbewe says that what the government should consider doing is to put ministries and structures that will look into the plight of many youths that have remained unemployed under the PF government and ensure that there is sustainability and stability in the manner that the youths are going to be empowered so as to reduce on youth un employment.
He has called on Mr.Mwaliteta to refrain from such types of agitation which was common under the patriotic front government, stating that President Hichilema has given a clear direction on how he wants this country to be governed and caderism is not among the things.
“Our call as a sector is to Hon Mwaliteta to refrain from such types of agitations which was common under the Patriotic Front government because the republican President his Excellency Mr.Hakainde Hichilema has given clear direction on how he wants this country to be governed and caderism is not among the things”.
