Former UPND Spokesperson Charles Kakoma and FORMER Chilanga UPND member of parliament Captain Cosmas Moono have rejoined the United Party for National Development UPND barely a year after joining the opposition patriotic front PF.
Speaking at a pressing briefing on Tuesday Mr. Kakoma said his decision has been made after consultations from his family and friends, further stating that this is a turning point in his political career.
Mr. Kakoma further apologized to the ruling party and those he offended further assuring to join the party without any conditions, but to work as a member and mobilize more people to rejoin the party.
“I wish to rejoin the UPND without conditions, my position is that of being a member of the UPND,” he said.
Meanwhile, UPND secretary-general Batuke Imenda welcomed the duo further stating that their background in the party is rich.
“They are welcome because their background in this party is rich, the UPND started with these two gentlemen,” he said.
