Independent Churches of Zambia ICOZ has called people and the church in the country to embrace community outreach activities to help the vulnerable.
ICOZ president David Masupa said churches are slowly losing one of the mandate to help out the needy not only spiritually but also physically.
Speaking in an interview with one love radio news, Bishop Masupa advised people and the church to make efforts and concentrate on meeting the physical needs of the vulnerable, through donations of clothes and food among others.
“Let us not only concentrate on reaching out to the spiritual needs of people but let us also reach out to them in their physical needs, let us get back to our mandate which God has given us as a church to reach out to such vulnerable people” he said.
