Kids against crime Zambia has called on parents to motivate and not scold their children who did not perform well in their exams.
Organization Country Director Musenge Sampala said threats and hash words from parents can tend to make children demotivated, hence develop suicidal thoughts.
He said parents need to take up their role in encouraging children that there is huge life ahead, despite failing an exam.
Speaking to one love radio news, Mr. Sampala also called on stake holders and organizations to come together in sensitizing school children not to give up once they fail, but begin to develop skills that would make them succeed in life.
“They should just accept they have failed, and encourage them in a way that they will feel loved and counsel them, what is the next step”, he said.
