Economist Yusuf Dodia says there is need for Zambians to promote the growing of food through back yard gardening to reduce the cost of living.
Mr. Dodia said this will help to alleviate poverty that the country seems to be experiencing in as far as food is concerned.
He added that, the more food that is available the cheaper it becomes hence the need to look at ways on how food can be made available to the people.
“The promotion of rural cooperatives, so that they produce food and establish a market so that they sell to bigger markets will also promote a huge spread of food across the country,” he said.
