The Ministry of Health has announced one recorded case of cholera in a 3year old girl.
Speaking during the COVID 19 daily update, minister of health Sylvia Masebo said the Lusaka Mtendere based child is currently admitted to kalingalinga clinic in Lusaka and is in a stable condition.
Ms. Masebo further said the health team is on the ground to investigate and identify the source, and has directed Zambians to keep vigil and be reminded of the importance of taking cholera vaccines.
“We have admitted to Kalingalinga clinic a three year old girl with cholera today, this girl comes from Mtendere compound and she’s in a stable condition,” she said.
