Ulichee Film and Theater has advised government to focus and prioritize investing in Zambia’s film industry so as to generate revenue.
Speaking to One Love Radio news in an interview, Ulichee Film and Theater president Maposa Lungu said the film industry is a good entrepreneurship platform for local people and Zambia at large.
He said with the high unemployment crisis in Zambia, government should take the film industry and people’s talents as an opportunity to create jobs that would sustain people’s lives.
Mr. Lungu who is also the team lead director further explained that the film industry is an equalizer and an avenue through which a mass of people can be absorbed for employment.
“If government focused on the film industry 2 years from now we will be forced to recon with and we will be toping and competing with Africa and other established industries, all we just need is an opportunity to be visible”, he said.
