Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Chipoka Mulenga has called on the private sector to take advantage of the stable business environment created by government, to not only make profit for their business but also contribute to the county’s sustainable development.
Mr. Mulenga said this in a speech read on his behalf by Ministry Director Planning Director Edwin Zimba when he officiated at the launched the Dangote Paka Paka reloaded National sales promotion.
Mr. Mulenga said the private sector can contribute to national sustainable development by supplementing governments efforts of creating jobs for the youth.
“The private sector should also enhance steps of adding value to their locally produced products, “said Mr. Mulenga.
Mr. Mulenga added that government was pleased to support Dangote which was awarded the highest exporter for three years running, and continues to be a notable foreign exchange earner in our economy.
Speaking at the same event, Dangote Head of sales and marketing Chooye Hamusankwa, shared his enthusiasm for the promotion stating, “this speaks volumes about the company ‘s dedication to their customers and the growth of the nation’s construction sector.
Mr. Hamusankwa said the Paka Paka reloaded National sales promotion will reward customers for their loyalty in bi-weekly draws with cash.
Mr. Hamusankwa said that 20 people will win K1,000 each, while the grand prize is K200, 000.
And, Head of Finance Choolwe Lungu said Dangote cement Zambia’s business is growing and has projected a 3% growth profit margin for the year 2024 adding that it will continue to give back to the community.
