Government has launched the 2022-2026 Eighth National Development Plan subjected for social economic transformation to improve livelihoods in Zambia.
Officiating at the launch in Lusaka president Hakainde Hichilema said good governance is part of the plan as well as strict adherence to the rule of law.
President Hichilema said in order for Zambia to achieve social economic transformation, there is need to be ambitious and realistic through hard work.
He said the need to invest in the agriculture, education, health and mining sector among other sectors is part of the developmental plan.
The president also reiterated that Principles and timely delivery is part of the plan and further called on all stakeholders within and outside the country to rally together and deliver on the developmental plan for the people of Zambia.
