GOVERNMENT PLEDGES ITS COMMITMENT TO SAFEGUARD CHILDREN’S LIVELIHOODS.

Government has pledged its commitment in ensuring that the lives of children across the country are uplifted and safeguarded.

Speaking on behalf of the minister of Community Development and Social Services Doreen mwamba, during the Kenneth Kaunda birthday celebrations in Lusaka ministry’s assistant director in the Department of Child Development Lackson Chimpapa described children as the foundation of the nation hence the need to protect and safeguard their welfare.

Mr. Chimpapa said government through president Hakainde Hichilema is committed to taking care of children’s livelihoods Hence a number of policies and programs put in place to uplift the welfare of children for example the free education policies which he said allows all children to be in school.

“There can never be a better way of celebrating the life of a great Man than to remember the young ones,” Mr. Chipampa said.

He said this during the Kenneth Kaunda (KK) Birthday Luncheon held in Lusaka at this statue.

Mr. Chipampa further encouraged other stakeholders and parents to take up responsibilities and provide support children so as to raise responsible and God fearing children.

Speaking at the same event, Win Electronics Chief Executive Officer  Maybin Simbeye said his company invited two orphanages to the Kenneth Kaunda celebrations that are underprivileged to show them Love.

Mr. Simbeye said having become an orphan at a tender age, he believes children have an opportunity to better their lives.

He added that Win Electronics is growing a company that will change the lives of young Zambians .

“Our vision for this event is to ensure that it grows bigger and better,” Said Mr. Simbeye.
