GOVERNMENT’s AIM TO FOSTER ECONOMIC STABILIZATION EMPHASIZED.

President Hakainde Hichilema has today officially opened the second session of the Thirteenth National Assembly.

Addressing the parliamentarians in parliament, president Hichilema emphasized governments aim to foster economic stabilization and growth through the mining, agriculture and the manufacturing sectors as key drivers.

President Hichilema further said that a good governance environment, Economic transformation and job creation among others are part of government’s agenda and policy measures that will be implemented.

He assured of continued food and fiscal management and enhanced transparency and accountability in the management of public affairs.

Meanwhile, President Hichilema also reviled that Works are underway to promote efficiency and ensure government plays its role in placing a rightful law on major electricity generation and the petroleum industry.

“In keeping with our commitment to grow and diversify our electricity supply base, we shall ensure that alternative sources of clean energy are fully exploited,” he said.
