Ministry of Agriculture Director Alick Daka said agricultural companies must take deliberate action in educating farmers on new plant technologies and the application of various seed varieties in the wake of climate change.
Speaking on behalf of the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Mr Daka said Driving Productivity through Synagy Innovations can only be achieved with more advancement in seed technologies.
Mr Daka says technological advancements makes a huge difference in the lives of farmers as they are based on reliable scientific research which helps counter the challenges in the agricultural sector such as climate change.
“It’s up to you farmers once you see various technologies: if you adopt them or not,” he said.
