Medical for Quality Health Care in Zambia has described the recruitment of health workers from all categories of the sector as balanced.
The ministry of health announced on Tuesday that the ministry has been granted treasury authority to recruit the workers by 1st April 2022, with a mixture of all categories in the sector, that’s mortuary attendants, drivers and dentist among others.
Speaking in an interview with One Love Radio news, Medical for Quality Health Care in Zambia director general Quince Mwabu said the recruitment exercise including all categories in the sector is a good move, stating that everyone in the health sector plays an important role.
Dr. Mwabu also emphasized the need for the ministry of health to work hand in hand with the Anti-Corruption Commission ACC to ensure transparency during the recruitment process.
“You should never forget other parties and branches like cleaners, mortuary attendants and drivers, they play a very important role and they need to be part and parcel of the recruitment process,” he said.
