Government says President Hakainde Hichilema’s recent and constant trips to different countries are important for Zambia’s business and development.
Ministry of information and media spokesperson Thabo Kawana told one love radio news in an exclusive interview that some meetings require physical interactions; hence the president as chief marketer of the country needs to attend.
Mr. Kawana said the president’s trips to other countries will bring investors in the country, therefore making it important for the president to travel for such occasions.
“Zambia is not an island, and therefore we exist within the international community and there are cooperation’s, meetings and issues that require for people to congregate, what the president is doing is taking only those trips that are necessary for him to physically travel and are highly beneficial to Zambia” , he said.
