Residents of garden compounds in Mandevu constituency have bemoaned the increasing high rate of criminal activities in the area.
Speaking to One Love Radio news, Mr. Proud Sichaba called on the Zambia police to intensify patrols in the area as people were being attacked and robbed by criminals commonly known as junkies on a daily basis.
Mr. Sichaba said residents in the area are living in fear especially with the coming of the festival season.
He added that the rise of junkies in the community is worrying as youths were now unproductive surviving on robbing innocent residents.
“Any time we are going to present our budget we want to see the police being funded to arrest criminals,” he said.
