A Lusaka based Bus operator has commended the move taken by the Road Transport and Safety Agency RATSA to reduce bus fares.
Speaking to One Love Radio news Mr. Nathan Chikumba says the previous proposed bus fares where unfair and that bus operators would have been running at a loss had they agreed.
“when they increased fuel prices we didn’t add up to the fares, but the moment they reduced they wanted us to reduce by k5 which was very unappropriated,” he said.
Meanwhile Mr. Chikumba expressed concern over some bus operators who are still not loading from the stations, stating that it is making business slow for those loading from the stations.
RATSA on Wednesday re-engaged stakeholders to resolve controversial issues on the adjustment of bus fares bus fares by k2k from the previous announced k5.
