Patriotic Front PF member of the central committee Chishimba Kambwili has condemned government’s decision to remove social cash transfer beneficiaries such as retirees and non-voters from the farmer input support program FISP.
Addressing the media in Lusaka, Dr. Kambwili said FISP is a special package that is meant for viable but vulnerable farmers.
Dr. Kambwili who is also PF party president aspirant said the UPND should not bring in conditions on FISP that people can’t afford hence their decision is retrogressive and might affect food production through bumper harvests especially with the onset of the farming season.
He further protested against the decision stating that it is tantamount to killing the life of Zambian people.
“What the new dawn government has done is retrogressive and must be stopped,” he said.
