A Lusaka resident has called on government to send inspectors in health facilities as some male personnel’s are sexually harassing female patients.
The resident who opted to remain unknownymous narrated to One Love Radio how a fellow patient told her that a doctor at Chelstone clinic indecently touched her on her private part after telling her to undress for examination purposes.
She then explained that the named doctor spoke to the resident in a manner that made her feel uncomfortable.
The resident adds that the other patient refused to report the medical personnel as she was afraid.
“This thing has been on my mind because even adolescents can go to the clinic by themselves and one only wonders what such health personnel do to them. I am appealing to government to ensure inspectors are on the ground to protect patients because doctors are not supposed to scare us away from visiting health centers”. She expressed.
She further lamented that some personnel at the same facility are very rude.
