The Bible Gospel Church in Africa BIGOCCA has called on young people to channel their energy into developmental activities.
Reacting to a recent incident where a 14 year old female juvenile allegedly used Love portion for her seventeen year old boyfriend who later died in kasenengwa district, BIGOCA Deputy Secretary General Bishop Lazarus Shumba says this was as result of marriage desperation and moral decay.
Bishop Shumba was however of the view that marriage is not everything despite it being God’s plan hence young people should not make a career out of it.
“As young Zambians let’s channel our energy in the right things, the development of our country the career development and be a person of influence in the world. But if we limited to marriage as the beginning and the end then that’s when we find ourselves in issues of Love portion,” he said.
He urged the youths to take responsibility of the decisions they make as their future is dependent on it.
“Marriage should not be a thing that defines us, we can live without certain things and still be happy in life and achieve great millstones,” he said.
