A Resident of Mongu Western province has complained that no proper explanation of the disbursement of the Constituency development funds CDF is being done in his area and that many people have not been fully informed.
Mr. Kenaka told one love radio that people are unaware and do not have the full knowledge of how the CDF is supposed to be handled despite efforts he made to seek more information on the matter.
He further appealed to higher authorities to enhance their sensitizations, as people in the area have lagged behind.
“It’s like people here don’t know what’s happening, if possible the council should tell the people in charge that here in Mongu people have no idea about CDF they do not know what’s happening completely,” he said.
Meanwhile, when contacted for a comment Luena constituency Member of Parliament Anakoka Mubita said offices have been put in place in Limulunga district to assist with the sensitization.
Mr. Mubita also revealed that the 2022 CDF meetings have been held and applications for projects and empowerment skills among others have also been received.
“We have an office in Luena and this office is manned by two people, every five days a week so anyone who wants to know about the CDF is free to go to that office and get the information,” he said.
