National Union of Public and Private Educators of Zambia, NUPPEZ has urged government to work on providing enough materials in schools across the country, especially for those in examination classes.
NUPPEZ Executive president victor Muyumba said there is a challenge in terms of classroom pupil ratio and material pupil ratio that needs to be worked.
Mr. Muyumba also said Due to limited access to laboratories and resources in schools, pupils tend not to be very familiar with the equipment’s hence quality education will be compromised.
“Our advice to the government is that even as we look at the employment of teachers and the teacher pupil ratio, lets also look at other things such as text books, laboratory equipment’s and laboratories,” he said.
