One sight Elissor Exottica Foundation in collaboration with the government has handed over the eye clinic at Yuka mission hospital in Kalabo district western province to the Ministry of Health.
The eye clinic has been renovated at the cost of close to K300, 000 by One Sight Elissor Exottica Foundation.
Speaking at the event Foundation Country Director Phales Somboko Mungule said the foundation shall initially support the hospital to conduct outreaches, aimed at reaching out to community members who may for some various reasons, not be able to visit the clinic.
And Western Province Permanent Secretary Akapelwa Simomo who was also the Guest of Honor at the event said the partnership between One Sight Elissor Exottica Foundation and the Ministry of Health symbolizes the collective government commitment in providing eye care services to communities both in urban and rural areas.

Mr. Simomo further alluded that government identified Kalabo district as one area that is in dire need of improved eye care services and the selection of Yuka mission hospital was based on the needs assessment.
