The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has revealed plans of reviewing the minimum wage and other labor reforms for Zambia.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with One Love Radio news, Labor commissioner Givens Mutengwa reiterated that the tripartite consultative labor council constituted by employers and employees representatives and government already made the undertaking to review minimum wages.
He further said a proposal will be submitted to the minister for the endorsement of the statutory instrument.
“So yes there was a decision made by the social partners to review the minimum wages,” he said.
