Zambia police has continued to warn people not to abuse social media and stay away from cybercrimes.
Speaking to One Love Radio in an interview Zambia police said using insulting and defamatory language among other things is an infringement of people’s rights and is against the laws.
Police representative Inspector Maluma Timothy said the police have partnered with investigative wings and have enough machinery and laws to track and deal with perpetrators of cybercrimes.
Whatever platform we might want to use, let’s be careful because in as much as you have the rights to express yourself you must be guided that you should not injure other people,” he said.
