A Political Analyst Mark Simuwe has supported the call by President Hakainde Hichilema to allow the Patriotic Front members to join the United Party for National Development UPND.
Mr.Simuwe has told one love radio news that, the call by the head of state demonstrates ideology that the UPND is founded on, stating that the name its self UPND speaks volumes as it talks about unity and development.

He says when the nation is divided there is no unity and development that can be realized, which is why there has been emphasis on unity because the party creates a favorable environment for economic activities to take place.
He notes that when people belong to different political parties it demonstrate the strong foundation that is embedded in the constitution of multi party democracy and also the respect that the country has for freedom of conscious and freedom of association.
