  • President Hakainde Hichilema has charged that the past regime’s corrupt practices eroded the country’s economic fortunes.

Featuring on Hot FM radio, President Hichilema said Corruption was the reason why there was no money in circulation because only few individuals had accumulated wealth through corrupt means.

He added that his government is eager to rebuild the economy through debt restructuring which will result in more money circulated on the market.

And commenting on why it has been difficult for constituencies to access the Constituency Development Funds (CDF), President Hichilema noted that the CDF Act was restrictive because it was never designed for a big cover of resources.
