RDAZ WELCOMES LIFTING OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS

The Resident Doctors Association of Zambia RDAZ has welcomed the move by government to lift Covid-19 restrictions for the next one month.

Association President Dr.Brian Sampa says government consulted the ministry of health before it arrived at such a decision  therefore people should not be worried in as much as the nation is expecting the 4th wave  but should instead follow the five golden rules among them masking up and social distancing in a bid to contain the spread of the virus.

This follows some complaints from different stakeholders that it is too early for the government to lift the covid19 restriction especially that the country is expecting the 4th wave of covid19.

Dr.Sampa has urged the government not to relax in terms of sensitizing the people about following the covid19 health guidelines especially that it has lifted the restrictions.

“Government needs to up the game when it comes to vaccination so that more people can be vaccinated and should not relax in terms of sensitizing the people about following the covid19 health guidelines especially that it has lifted the restrictions”.

He says that there is need for the government to work hard and ensure that more vaccines are procured so that people can be vaccinated in order curb the virus.
