SARAGO motors limited have sponsored the national and the Zambia international motor sports rallies with money amounting K328,750.
Speaking at press briefing in Lusaka, Company’s general manager Victor Kabwiku said this will help the club bring the sport back to its glory days as it will contribute to the social and sporting development in Zambia.
He said the company will also provide 5,000 US dollars cash prize money to the class winners of the national rally round to be held on the 28th and 29th of August 2021.
The SARAGO Motor rally is slated to have a qualification round at the Lusaka Motor club from 15:00 hours to 18:00 hours and has so far attracted 14 competitors with more entries expected to come in.
Clerck of course Mr Martin Mwitila further said the main rally will take place at Rephidim Farm institute located in Lusaka West from 09:00 hours to 17:00 hours.
“this national championship will have 10 stages and will run as a preparatory rally for the Zambia International Rally slated for September”, Mr Mwitila said.
Mr. Kabwiku who is SARAGO Motors General Manager further said as title sponsors of both events, they are exited to partner with the Lusaka motor club and looking forward to safe and exiting rallies.
Meanwhile Zambia motor sports association ZMSA vice president Bernard Chipwaya thanked SARAGO motors for having confidence in the Lusaka motor club by sponsoring the events .
He said the association was also grateful that SARAGO come on board to support the rally.
