Save the environment and peoples agency SEPA has handed over a project in Mufumbwe aimed at mitigating the impact of Covid 19 on food nutrition using climate resilient, smart agriculture.
SEPA Chief Executive Officer Miles Zulu Muke is optimistic that the project will mitigate food insecurity and will supply food throughout North Western province and neighboring countries as the irrigation and other techniques make farming easier.
The project was sponsored by the EU and the center for coordination in agriculture development in Southern Africa.
Ms. Muke has called on other donors to support small organizations and people on the ground with resources and increase their capacity as they are closer to the community.
