Some Stakeholders have condemned in the strongest terms the current homosexuality and sodomy incidents that have been reported in the country.
Currently several incidents have been reported where boys and men are being sodomised , while some have been sodomising their fellow men and boys, with one of the cases being five pupils of Islamic education trust of Zambia alleged to have been sodomised by three older pupils at the same school.
Reports of sodomy which has been described as an abomination among well-meaning citizens has surrounded the corners of the country and has brought concern among well-meaning citizens.
Zambia National Men’s Network for Gender and Development National Coordinator Nelson Banda is among the people who have condemned the act.
Mr. Banda cautioned parents to keep a close eye on their children, and that government should put stiffer punishments among culprits sodomising male children and fellow men.
Isaka Love Center Pastor Kamulile Phiri said sodomy is an abomination and it requires the church to spread the love of Chriust if such is to be stopped.
Meanwhile, the Police clarified that sodomy is an offence to the laws of Zambia.
Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga appealed to members of the public not to take such cases on social media but should rather report to the police for legal investigations.
“Sodomising somebody is still an offence under our laws in this Country,” he said.
