Zambian lawyer Tutwa Ngulube has called on President Hakainde Hichilema to lift the oath of secrecy that the director of public prosecution DPP Lilian Siyuni revealed.
On Tuesday the DPP Lillian Siyuni in a letter to the Judicial Complaints Commission denied all allegations and further asked for the head of state to lift the oath of secrecy sworn to enable for her to respond to all complaints against her.
Speaking to one love radio news Mr. Ngulube said the DPP cannot say anything, as she might get arrested for breaking the oath.
Mr. Ngulube cited that boundaries in the laws of Zambia which only allows the president to waive the oath of office and give immunity to the DPP to tell the truth without getting arrested.
He alleged that president Hichilema lied and has painted a picture of a bad leader as he has not forgotten and forgiven the people that offended him while he was in opposition.
“To us lawyers what we understand by the DPP asking for the oath to be waived is that she is telling relation that she wants to tell the truth about how HH lied during his press conference,” he said.
