United Bank of Africa UBA has partnered with Tony Elumelu Foundation TEF in an entrepreneurship program aimed at curbing the challenge faced by many entrepreneurs in Africa in finding capital.
Speaking on the entrepreneurship program on one love radio, UBA head of SME banking Wanita Chileshe said the program is providing an opportunity to entrepreneurs across Africa to receive 5000 US dollars non-refundable for capital.
Ms. Chileshe said UBA is calling on entrepreneurs in the country to take this opportunity by presenting innovative business ideas that will have a positive impact on society and the economy so as to stand a chance to receive capital for the idea.
“ Basically once your proposal makes it through you be given $5000 free, so basically we looking for people have ideas that are looking at value addition and ideas that will create employment for the youth out there, it’s a profitable venture, cause we looking at how it will impact on the society and the economy of Zambia”, she said.
