United Party for National Development National UPND Youth Chairperson says the high cost of living has been necessitated by the debt that the country has which the new dawn government is trying to pay back.
Mr. Gilbert Liswaniso said fuel subsidies were also removed as one of the solutions to help in paying back the debt.
Mr. Liswaniso echoed that the country cannot have a stable economy before fixing the current debt situation.
He added that the UPND government means well for the people of Zambian which is why it has increased the amount of CDF and the number of health workers and teachers to be deployed.
“Already we have seen the children we were sending on errands have gone back to school so that they can have a better life, that is what Hakainde is trying to do,” he said.
