The United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia UPPZ Leader Charles Chanda says he is saddened that the cost of living for a family of five has further increased.
Mr. Chanda said in a statement that a further increase will make it difficulty for families to afford even the basic needs.
Mr. Chanda noted the urgent need for the nation to address the issue and ensure that people are not left to suffer in silence.
He added that the rising cost of living is not just a matter of economics, but a matter of humanity.
The cost of living for a family of five has increased by K61.73 in the month of July as measured by the Jesuit Center for Theological Reflection.
