VENDORS EVICTED FROM LUSAKA’S LIMA TOWER STATION.

Business came to a standstill, as heavy police presence troubled the street vendors at Lusaka’s Central Business District CBD Lima tower station.

The vendors complained on Tuesday morning of not being given notice to evacuate the trading places along the road, saying the move is unfair and inconsiderate.

They called on relevant authorities to consider giving them more time to help them find suitable trading places.

And Local Government Permanent Secretary for Administration Mambo Hamaundu said the process of moving the vendors is meant to create sanity and order in the Central Business District CBD.
