Citizen First party president Harry Kalaba has described the working conditions of workers in Zambia as disgraceful.
He said workers are not given good incentives and the working conditions are appalling and ill-mannered in most companies in the country.
Mr. Kalaba said most workers are not treated decently hence the need for the government to take the plight of workers seriously.
“Government must take the plight of workers seriously.”
He however called on the Ministry of Labor to look at the welfare and the value of workers in the country. Mr. Kalaba was reacting to the just ended Labor Day celebrations under the theme Accelerating Job Creation for Economic Growth.
