Young Women in Action has charged that the use of insulting language by politicians has potential to cartel women’s participation in politics.
In an audio that went viral on social media recently, Democratic Party function leader Judith Kabemba is heard depicting insults to former DP Secretary General Vincent Chintu.
Organization Board Chairperson Agatha Mutale said what Ms. Kabemba did was wrong; stating that she should have found a better way to handle this issue as young people growing up might think using vulgar language in politics is normal.
Ms. Mutale added that politics should not be about insults but love if the nation should develop.
“The society has these girls growing up…I feel that wasn’t right, whatever issues she might have, she would have found a better way to talk about it,” she said.
