Zambia police service says it has continued to conduct motorized patrols and traffic management duties despite traffic check points being suspended.
Zambia Police Assistant Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi, says the suspension of the traffic check points is an assessment period were motorists should have the knowledge of policing themselves, and not behaving inappropriately by not following road rules and regulations.

Mr. Chilabi has further called on people in the country to respect the police as well as their work.
He adds that the Zambia police officers deserve respect, because they are around for a purpose, and that people should not interfere with the duty of the police officers.
He was speaking when he featured on the neighborhood program on one love radio.
