ZAMBIANS ADVISED IN RICE GROWING.

National Association for Small Holder Farmers in Zambia Executive Directive Dr. Fank Kayula has encouraged enhanced rice production for income generation and food security.

Dr. Kayula in an exclusive interview with One Love Radio news, said rice production is vital as it will create more jobs through processing industries that make rice into various processed goods such as porridge among others.

He said the market in Zambia is yawning as more rice needs to be grown locally.

Dr. Kayula further called for sensitization, enhancement and diversification of rice growing by small scale farmers in Zambia.

“Farmers will be able to diversify their eating habits and they will also make a lot of income from the local and international market,” he said
