Economic Analyst Yusuf Dodia says Zambians should brace themselves with tougher times ahead.
Speaking to One Love Radio news Mr. Dodia said, the increase in the monetary policy rate, the Inflation rate and the increase in fuel pump prices is a signal of an economy that is getting more difficult.
He further anticipated that, the increase in the inflation rate will further escalate the cost of doing business hence prices of commodities will go up.
“This will be more challenging on people with low salaries,” he said.
Mr. Dodia added that, at the pace the economy is moving businesses are likely to stop producing and start importing in order to make profit and have products that are affordable to the Zambian people which he said might lead to industries collapsing.
