The Church has urged Zambians to uphold Christian values as the country commemorates the 31st anniversary of the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation.
Following the theme, Zambia a Christian Nation Promoting Christian Values in Unity, the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia EFZ noted the need for the church and Christians to begin to inculcate the Christian values so as to actualize the Christian nation declaration.
Speaking to One Love Radio in an exclusive interview EFZ Executive Director Bishop Andrew Mwenda, said the declaration is the best thing that happened to Zambia which must be appreciated.
“What must be done is that, we as Christians particularly as the church must inculcate Christian values in to the people,” he said.
Meanwhile, Battle Cry for Zambia founder Dr. Obrian Mayambu said it is vital for the nation to live in harmony and trust God in leading the country’s affairs.
Zambia was declared as a Christian nation in 1991 by Zambia’s second Republican President late Dr. Fredrick Chiluba.
