This follows complaints by some members of the public, concerning issues of money being stolen from their mobile money accounts by unknown people.
Manager cooperate communications Hanford Chaaba told one love radio news that customers should not engage themselves in promotions stating that they have won particular prizes and requesting for codes, pins or passwords.
He said during such transactions is when one tends to give out a lot of information’s that will at some point lead to money being stolen in unexplained circumstances.
Mr. Chaaba further advised citizens to report such cases of stolen money in mobile accounts to ZICTA or the police station.
“Usually from the information we have so far, people are losing money because at some point they might have given out their pin. The starting point is go to Zambia police because that’s a crime, then Zambia police where need arises will engage ZICTA,” he said.
