The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia EFZ and The Council of Churches in Zambia CCZ in Conjunction with Luis Palau association have launched the Love Zambia Festival which is scheduled to take place from 13th to 15th September 2024.
This is a movement led by Evangelist Andrew Palau leader of Luis Palau association.
Speaking at a Press conference in Lusaka EFZ President Bishop Andrew Mwenda said the event whose main purpose is to see people give their lives to Jesus Christ and be born again is more than just a Crusade as it will include many other activities such as sport, health and games, mainly attracting children and Youths.
Bishop Mwenda Said during the Festival week several other social activities are also lined up such as outreaches to prisons, Orphanages, and free medical and eyeglass clinics for the communities among others.
“It meets a businessman, the young man, the old man, whoever it is, in the community. It touches the community where it needs it most. It’s very holistic. That’s what actually makes it different. Love Zambia Festival will touch the entire community, spirit, soul, body, and the entire people and population,” Bishop Andrew Mwenda said.
Meanwhile, Council of Churches in Zambia CCZ General Secretary Rev. Canon Emmanuel Chikoya said it is time for the church to work together for the cause of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He said the Love Zambia Festival is a holistic approach taken in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone.
“The Love Zambia Festival brings an opportunity for the church in Zambia to break its denominational walls and come together as the body of Christ and be the “servant of the city,” Rev. Canon Emmanuel Chikoya said.
